Inspiring Young Adults to Action-Young Adult Outreach

With a growing population of young adults, it is increasingly important to engage voices that add a special dynamic to any conversation on quality of life and the county’s present and future success. The faith community is one channel to help reach the young adult population of Prince George’s County. AmericaSpeaks leads this community workshop at the Clarice Smith Center in collaboration with The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. This workshop will challenge the artistic community to join community leaders as we ask ourselves: What is the culture of Prince George’s County? What image comes to mind when we think of the county? What image do we want people to have of Prince George’s County? What are the major opportunity gaps? What is necessary to transform into a creative economy? What is the role of the arts and broader community in the future of Prince George’s County, 2010 and Beyond?
